With five years of dedicated nursing experience, Madeleine has taken on the role of RN In-charge. Her career in travel nursing fills her life with unique adventures and professional challenges, allowing her to explore diverse regional and rural environments while connecting with like-minded professionals.

- What’s an interesting fact about you?
I love traveling, working as a travel nurse I get to meet like-minded people, while having adventures, seeing & exploring new regional/rural places, and getting challenged professionally.
- Where are you currently located?
Iona Aged Care, Nhill
- How long is your contract for?
6 months
- Why did you choose this location?
The NUM is very approachable, accommodating & flexible with rosters.
- What have been the highlight of your contract?
My placement consultant Danica Villalobos would be the highlight. Danica is exceptional at her job, always efficient with looking at new opportunities for me, hard-working, but most importantly, a kind and genuine person who really cares about her candidates. I’m very blessed and fortunate to have Danica as my consultant. She’s been very supportive and has been amazing the entire time since I joined SustainHealth.
- What do you want fellow contractors to know about your location or job role?
This is my contract no 8, working at IONA I feel like I now have a work/life balance that I haven’t had before. Our NUM allow us to swap shift if there’s something come up like any appointments.
- What essential items do you take with you when you leave home to work on a contract?
I always take my own linen with me, using my own linen gives me comfort.
- How did you hear about SustainHealth?
I heard about SustainHealth from a workmate who worked as an EN agency where I used to work back in Cairns

- Final Word: What is your top tip for other health professionals when choosing their next contract?
“Keep doing what you’re doing.” Always keep reminding yourself of the reason why you signed up for a contract and that will help keep you going and pretty much you will enjoy every minute of your contract.
