What’s an interesting fact about you?

One interesting fact about me is that I love learning about the unique life stories of the people I care for. Working in aged care has really opened my eyes to the richness of people’s experiences, and I feel like I learn something new from them every day.

Where are you currently located?

Toongabbie, Sydney.

Why did you choose this location?

I chose this location because of the positive reputation of the facility and the opportunity to work with a dedicated team in aged care. Even though it is an hour away, the quality of care provided here and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the residents make the commute worth it. I wanted to be part of a place where I could grow and contribute in a fulfilling way.

What essential items do you take with you when you leave home to work on a contract?

  • Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is important during long shifts.
  • Snacks/Lunch: If your shifts are long, pack healthy snacks or meals.
  • Phone and Charger: For communication and emergencies.
  • Wallet/Purse: With necessary cards and cash.
  • Hand Sanitizer: To stay germ-free during travel and in between using PPE.
  • Medications: First aid items.
